It's a costly refrigerator. We're not convinced it's worth enough to justify a significant price premium over a fridge that has the same capabilities and efficiency without the InstaView function.
This is especially relevant when you compare this model with the four-door LFXC24796D, which retails for $4,200 and comes with almost the same internal storage capacity. The same model without InstaView would cost $3800.
In our tests, we discovered that the InstaView fridge's door compartment was a bit warmer than the rest of the fridge, suggesting that it's not actually reducing cold-air-loss but simply providing an easy way to access in-door shelves.
What we did like was the clear organizer designed for egg storage (although it could also be used for other things such as yogurts). It's nice to see the 24cm LED strip that is on both the fridge as well as the freezer that illuminates when the InstaView doors are opened twice. This gives you excellent visibility for quick retrieval of items.
Furthermore, this model is the only one to come with LG's exclusive Craft Ice system that produces beautiful spheres of ice that are perfect for whisky and cocktails. These cubes of ice are smaller than traditional ice and melt slower and chill drinks more efficiently without having to water them.
